Appearance: To be honest, nothing by first appearances is terribly striking about Harry Mason; he's average in height and fairly attractive, but he's as normal as normal can be. Brown eyes to match his brown hair, perfectly combed back no matter the situation, both to go with his plain brown leather jacket he can't seem to ditch. He's not too tall, a bit underweight, and usually wearing dark sneakers with jeans, a white shirt, and black vest. Nothing terribly eye-catching, although on occasion he can be seen with a flashlight in his pocket, a rusty pipe in hand, and possibly even carrying a radio with him for whatever precaution.
Personality: Purely and simply, Harry is very fatherly and has an adoptive nature towards others. The kind of guy who feels the need to play mother hen to someone else who requires it, whether they like it or not. He's kind, he's sweet, and also a bit oblivious. You know the kind of man who constantly loses his shoes, but can solve practically any complicated riddle or puzzle in two seconds flat? Harry's the man; the obvious escapes him while the not-so-obvious catches his attention like a fat man to a cupcake.
Abilities: While Harry has no superhuman abilities, he does possess several skills -- some just very basic from his life as a single parent attempting to adopt both the role as father and mother in some ways. (Ex. being forced to learn how to stitch holes in pants, cooking, etc. in other cases he would not have previously known how to do) Otherwise, Harry is a professional writer -- a novelist, specifically, although he's dabbled in other areas (journalism, children's books) -- and is familiar with music, however useful or useless such a thing is in this setting. In his previous experiences, he also knows how to survive in extreme and unusual situations, primarily dealing with horrific monsters developed from nightmares, and wandering aimlessly in a seemingly dead town. In a way, this situation is a case of unhealthy reminders for him.
Weaknesses: Harry's obliviousness, first and foremost, is a weakness. Again, the obvious escapes him; someone's obvious not-so-good intentions may escape Harry, as he often attempts to think the very best of people's hearts. Also, due to a healthy guilt complex, he equally has a difficulty saying no to someone who seems to genuinely require his aid. He's far too forgiving, maybe even far too nice -- and definitely quite often forgets to even take care of himself when he's concerned for other people.
Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider; Harry is from Portland, Maine, but he's been to Manhattan previously.
